Who Is Responsible For Your Data

Adrenaline Performance Corp., a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada, is the organisation responsible for your personal information under Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and British Columbia's Personal Information Protection Act (PIPA). The iPhone app is distributed on the App Store by MARCUSG360 Holdings Inc. on behalf of Adrenaline Performance Corp.

What We Collect

We collect account details such as your name, email address, profile image and subscription status. We collect the training information you give us: your goals, training preferences, fitness and skiing ability, equipment, preferred training days, workout activity, habit completions, progress entries, personal records and coach communications. When you fill in your athlete profile we also collect your date of birth, sex, height, injury history and any free text health notes you write, along with your home location and primary resort. We collect app telemetry, which includes the screen you are viewing, your app version and build number, your storefront country and a session identifier, and we collect support messages you choose to send us. If you turn on notifications we store a push token for your device. Health, fitness and nutrition data are described in the next two sections.

Apple Health And Other Health Data

If you connect a health or wearable account, we read and store the daily measurements it shares with us. You can connect Apple Health, Garmin, Oura, Fitbit, Polar, Google Pixel Watch, Withings or another supported provider, and it works the same way whichever you choose. The measurements are your sleep duration and sleep score, resting heart rate, heart rate variability, steps, active and resting calories, weight and body fat percentage. We also record which sources you connected and what you allowed each one to share. This is health data and we treat it as sensitive. Connecting a source is optional, and the app never writes to Apple Health or to any other provider. Data from Garmin, Oura, Fitbit, Polar, Google Pixel Watch, Withings and other wearable accounts reaches us through Junction, our health data provider. From version 1.4.0 of the iPhone app, Apple Health data is sent through Junction too. Earlier versions of the app send it directly from Apple Health on your iPhone. Either way it keeps arriving for as long as the source stays connected, even when you are not using the app. You can disconnect any source at any time from Settings, which stops any further data arriving. Your daily check-ins, which include energy, mood, soreness, stress, motivation and sleep, are health data too, as are the injury history and health notes on your athlete profile.

Nutrition Data

If you use the nutrition features we store the meals you log, including your free text description and notes, the calories and macronutrients for each entry, and any meal photo you upload. We store your daily macro targets, and where those targets were calculated for you we store the figures used to calculate them, which include your weight, height, age and sex. We also store any personal targets you set for weight, body fat, resting heart rate, calories, steps or sleep. We treat all of this as health data. If you ask us to estimate a meal from a photo or a description, it is sent to Anthropic, our AI provider, as described in the AI Coach section below.

The Community

Anything you post in the community, including your name, your profile picture, your messages and any photo or video you attach, is visible to other athletes using Adrenaline Performance. Your community profile is visible to other members too, including your bio, your Instagram handle, your home resort, your ski style and your gallery of photos and videos, whenever you have filled them in. Messages are screened automatically before they are posted, and photos and videos are checked by Anthropic before other members see them, as described in the AI Coach section below. Other athletes can report a message to us or block you, which hides your messages from them. You can report and block in the same way. If you delete your account your messages remain but are no longer attributed to you.

Children And Teens

You must be at least 13 years old to use Adrenaline Performance, or at least 16 if you live in the European Union or the European Economic Area. When you set up your athlete profile we ask for your date of birth, and we do not accept one below 13. If we learn that an account belongs to someone under the minimum age, we delete it. A parent or guardian can email support@adrenalineperformance.co to review or delete the data of a teen in their care. For athletes under 18, the AI Coach does not suggest supplements. An athlete whose date of birth we do not know is treated as under 18 for this purpose.

How We Use Data

We use your data to operate the training app, personalize workouts and AI Coach responses, provide coaching support, process subscriptions, send the email described below, protect the service from abuse, troubleshoot errors, and improve reliability.

What We Never Do

We do not sell your personal data. We do not show advertising, and we do not share your data with advertisers. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites. We never use your health data for marketing.

Our Legal Basis For Using Your Data

Under Canadian law we collect, use and share your personal information with your consent, which you give when you create your account and when you choose to give us each kind of information described in this policy, and we use it only for the purposes described here. If you are in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, the General Data Protection Regulation and the UK General Data Protection Regulation also apply, and we rely on the following legal bases. We rely on performance of our contract with you for your account details, your training and habit activity, your programs and progress, and your subscription status. Without these we cannot provide the service you signed up for. We rely on your explicit consent for health data, which covers data from Apple Health and every other connected health or wearable account, daily check-ins, nutrition entries and targets, injury history and health notes. You give that consent when you connect a health or wearable account, or when you enter the information, and you can withdraw it by disconnecting the source, deleting the entries, or deleting your account. We rely on your consent for push notifications, which you can withdraw in your device settings or in the app. We rely on our legitimate interest in running a reliable and safe service for app telemetry, crash diagnostics, rate limiting, and safety and moderation records. We rely on our legal obligations for billing, tax and accounting records. Where we rely on consent, refusing it does not stop you using the rest of the app. In the European Union and the European Economic Area you must be at least 16 to give that consent yourself, which is why 16 is the minimum age there.

AI Coach And Anthropic

Anthropic, our AI provider, receives personal data from Adrenaline Performance in five ways. First, AI Coach sends your message to Anthropic together with the context it needs to answer as your coach. That context is sent with every message, not only the text you type. It includes your name, your age worked out from your date of birth, your subscription tier, your home location or primary resort, your injury history and health notes, your goals and training preferences, your recent workout and habit history including the sets you logged, your personal records, your nutrition targets and the last seven days of logged nutrition, your latest daily check in including sleep, your most recent body and recovery measurements, which are your weight, body fat percentage, resting heart rate and heart rate variability, and the memories the coach has kept about you. If you also use Road to Winter, your best challenge results are included as training baselines. If you attach a photo to a message, that photo is sent to Anthropic as well. The same context is used when the AI Coach writes to you on its own, for example after you finish a workout. Second, when you ask for a meal estimate, your meal photo or description is sent to Anthropic. Third, every photo you post in the community, and three still frames from every video you post, are sent to Anthropic to be checked before other members see them. Fourth, some AI Coach replies are sent back to Anthropic, together with the question they answered, so that we can check the quality and safety of the coaching. Fifth, when a member of our team uses our internal AI assistant to review how athletes are doing, Anthropic receives athlete names alongside activity figures such as subscription tier, workouts completed, habit completion rate and days since the last workout. Anthropic processes this data in the United States and does not use it to train its models. AI Coach and meal estimates send your data to Anthropic only with your permission. Before you can use them, the app asks you to allow sharing your data with Anthropic, and we record when you agreed. That data is your profile, your training data, your coach messages, and the meal photos and coach photos you send. If you have not allowed it, the app shows an Allow prompt in AI Coach and in meal estimates instead of sending anything. You can withdraw your permission at any time by turning off AI Coach data sharing in Settings, and turn it back on the same way. While it is off, the AI Coach does not answer you or write to you, meal estimates are not made, and none of that data is sent to Anthropic for them. Versions of the iPhone app released before this permission step was added do not ask for it. Two of the flows above do not depend on this setting. Photos and videos you post in the community are always scanned by an AI model from Anthropic for safety moderation, because every post is checked before other members see it. Our team's internal AI assistant also works the same way whatever the setting says. You can see and delete what the coach remembers about you from Coach Memory in Settings. Do not submit emergency medical information. AI Coach is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

Payments

If you subscribe on the web, payments and subscription management are handled by Stripe. We store Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, but we do not store full payment card numbers. If you subscribe on iPhone, Apple handles the payment through your Apple ID and we never see your payment details. Apple tells us about the subscription, and we store its transaction identifiers, the plan, and when it was bought, renewed, refunded or expires.

Referrals

If you sign up using a partner's referral link or code, we record which partner referred you so that we can pay that partner a commission. We use Tolt, our referral service, to track referrals and commissions. Tolt receives your email address, the customer identifier we give your account, and the amount of each payment you make, because commission is calculated on those payments. The partner who referred you sees only the number of people they referred and the commissions they earned. We keep referral records for as long as commissions accrue and for six years after the last tax year they support.

Marketing Email

We send news and updates about Adrenaline Performance by email through Resend, our email provider. Resend holds your name and email address for this purpose and tells us whether each email was delivered, opened or clicked, and whether it bounced or was marked as spam. Every marketing email has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing takes effect straight away. Emails about your account and billing, such as a password reset or a payment reminder, still arrive after you unsubscribe, because they are part of running your account.

Cookies

We use cookies only to run the service, never for advertising. When you sign in on the web, Supabase sets sign in cookies that keep you signed in. If you arrive through a partner's referral link, we set a cookie called ap_ref that remembers the referral code for 90 days so the referral is credited when you sign up. When you follow a referral link we also record the visit with your IP address in hashed form, which means it cannot be read back as your address, and the kind of device you used.

Service Providers

We use service providers that receive personal data on our behalf. Supabase provides authentication and our database, and holds your account and your training, health and nutrition records. Vercel hosts the web app and processes the requests you make to it. Stripe handles web payments and holds your customer and subscription records. Apple handles payments for subscriptions bought on iPhone. Sentry receives error and crash diagnostics. Upstash provides rate limiting and receives identifiers used to count requests. Anthropic provides AI Coach, meal estimates and photo checks, and receives the data described in the AI Coach section above. Resend sends our email and holds your name and email address. Tolt tracks referrals and receives the data described in the Referrals section above. If you sign in with Google, Google handles that sign in and tells us your account identifier, your name, your email address and your profile picture. Expo receives your push token and the title and body of each notification we send to your device, and serves app updates to the native app. Apple receives your push notifications for delivery to your device, and if you use Sign in with Apple, Apple handles that sign in and tells us the account identifier and the email address you choose to share. When a health or wearable connection runs through Junction, Junction connects to it on our behalf. Junction receives an identifier for your account and the data that account shares with it, and passes on to us the daily sleep, heart rate variability, resting heart rate, steps, calories, weight and body fat measurements described in the health data section above. If you delete your account, we ask Junction to erase the data it holds about you.

Where Your Data Is Stored

Your data is stored and processed in the United States by our service providers and may be accessible to courts, law enforcement and national security authorities there.

How Long We Keep Data

Your account details, training and habit history, programs, progress, personal records, health and nutrition entries, meal photos, AI Coach conversations, memory and profile, notifications and preferences are kept for the lifetime of your account, and are deleted or anonymized when you delete it. Push tokens are deleted when you delete your account, and a token is also removed once the device stops accepting notifications. Posts you wrote in the community keep their place in the thread when you delete your account, with the content replaced by a deleted marker, so other people's conversations stay readable. Safety and moderation records are kept for the lifetime of your account, or longer where we need them for legal reasons, with the content redacted and only the anonymized account referenced. Billing records are kept by Stripe under their own retention and legal obligations after we cancel your subscription and remove your customer identifier. Crash diagnostics are kept under our Sentry project's retention policy. App telemetry is removed after 90 days by a clean up that runs every night. If you unsubscribe from marketing email, or an email to you bounces or is marked as spam, we keep a record of that email address so that we never email it again, even after the account is deleted. Our internal audit log, which records administrative and account actions such as the fact that a deletion happened, has no set retention period and is kept until we delete it. When you delete your account, your email address and the free text notes and reasons in those records are removed, so they refer only to the anonymized account.

Getting A Copy Of Your Data

You have the right to a copy of the personal data we hold about you. Open Settings in the web app and choose Download My Data. The file arrives as JSON and covers your profile, training and activity history, habits, health and nutrition entries, AI Coach conversations and memory, your community posts and reactions, your notifications and preferences, and your billing identifiers. Posts written by other athletes are not included, because they are not your data. Safety records that name you are included, but the parts of them written by somebody else are left out: if you reported a message, the file says that you reported it and why, without the message itself. Push notification tokens are listed without the token value, which is a device credential rather than a record. The file lists everything it blanked out and the reason for it. In the native app, open Settings and choose Get A Copy Of My Data to open the same control in your browser.

Road To Winter

Adrenaline Performance and Road to Winter share one account system, so a single account works across both apps. Because of that, Adrenaline Performance reads the profile you created in Road to Winter, and three things come across. Your date of birth is used to prefill your Adrenaline Performance athlete profile when you have not set one yourself, and you can change or clear it from that profile. Your Instagram handle is read by the same lookup, and nothing in Adrenaline Performance uses it or displays it today. Your challenge results, meaning your best recorded score for each Road to Winter challenge you entered, are sent to Anthropic together with your AI Coach messages and used as training baselines. Separately, Adrenaline Performance administrators can see and change accounts in the shared system, including an account that has only ever been used for Road to Winter. One team supports both products and administration is not split between them.

Account Deletion

You can delete your account from Settings in the web app or from the native app. If you subscribed on iPhone, cancel the subscription in your Apple ID settings first: deleting your account does not stop Apple from charging you, because only you can cancel a subscription billed by Apple. Deletion removes sign in access, anonymizes your profile, removes you from our mailing list so you are no longer emailed, and cancels active Stripe subscriptions where available. It also asks Resend to delete its copy of your name and email address. Some records may be retained when required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, tax, accounting, or dispute resolution.

Your Rights And Our Privacy Officer

Our Privacy Officer is Dan, at Adrenaline Performance Corp., reachable at support@adrenalineperformance.co. You have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, and to withdraw your consent, subject to legal and contractual limits. Email the Privacy Officer to make any of these requests and we will respond within 30 days. If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia. If you are in the European Union, the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to your data protection authority.

Washington Consumer Health Data

If you live in Washington State, our Consumer Health Data Privacy Policy explains the health data we collect, why, who we share it with and how to exercise your rights under the Washington My Health My Data Act.
